Today I began my day along with James going for a swim at the Sports Centre. Very invigorating and I was definitely impressed by the facilities available there.
Following that we headed for breakfast at the Doubleday Cafe where we all consumed copious amounts of delicious food, especially James who consumed half of Caroline's too!
We then headed with Lyn Edinger to the Fenimore Art Museum and to the Farmers' Museum.
These were absolutely fabulous, the interior of the Art Museum was beyond impressive and would be a wonderful venue for any event. The displays there were also highly interesting, the native art one being a favourite of mine.
After the museum we headed to the Tunnicliff Inn was lunch with ex mayor Carol Waller. She was a wonderful warm person, welcomed us to the town and outlined the inner workings of Cooperstown. The meal was also beautiful (thankyou very much to the staff for looking after us so well)

We have then split up to go for our vocational visits.I have headed to the Cooperstown Police Department where Diana Nicols-Di Lorenzo the Cooperstown Police Chief (and also my wonderful host) has shown me the ropes and introduced me to her team. Everyone was very welcoming and I found it particularly interesting how the police could not be stopped for speeding here. An excellent point that I think I will mention to my colleagues back home.
We are now about to head to Jim and Vicki Gates house for tea. Before I leave I would like to say a big thankyou to Diana and Mark for looking after me. They have a wonderful family and I have felt like a part of it from the start.
Thanks again.Anyway I will leave you all now but be prepared for more updates about this beautiful place.
